I don’t miss it so much as remember it fondly.
Going though footage and photos and really getting nostalgic for !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! even though it was only 6 months ago. Working on getting some of the video done and with it the write up.
1998 Volvo V70 XC bought at an estate sale for $1,800 . Such a fun time. Also I need to stop at more estate sales, clearly.

From my experience, whenever I sell a car, I am immediately handed a pair of rose tinted spectacles. Not a bad thing, just a thing.

Same here, still get a bit sad when I see a Passat wagon on the road. It was a good car.

Yeah... I try to think of past cars like past jobs. Always remember there is a reason you left (or sold... whichever). Not exactly the same, but sort of.

I had an old Camry before I got the car I currently have and I miss it even though it was a pos and gave me nothing but problems the last year I had it.It may also have to do with the fact it was the first car I ever owned.

OK, great. Enjoyed that, but yes. You need to write a proper trip report. No rush :)
Glad you ditched the TG crap. Your adventures stand up on their own, no worries.

Thanks! Funny enough I wrote 2/3s or so of the write up during the trip... but never finished.
George was pretty salty about how his car panned out so we spent the last six months only speaking of the trip in hushed whispers. But with time he seems to have come around and I’m getting back to v ideo editing and will likely polish off the write up sometime soon.
Excited about the video format for this trip. WAY different than our usual and should be more entertaining. Shorter episodes and all of the “narration” was done on the trip as nightly video diaries, rather than in front of a microphone 6+ months later.

Cool. Can you share to O&E when you post? Oppo moves too fast for old gits like me :)

Not sure my stuff is in the spirit of O&E, though I guess the trip had both. Haha I’ll either share them to O&E or sent you a link through comments.

My ‘00 V6 5speed went to the grave two years ago after 12-year ride with the family,
owing to massive backlog of deferred maintenance. Don’t miss the headaches, but do miss the drive.
